Turning Point- Leicester City

Turning Point Leicester is the integrated substance misuse service for the city of Leicester. We work with anyone who is affected by drugs or alcohol and wants support to make change. We offer a variety of treatment options and will support you to find the right treatment for you. Self referral or referral via health or social care professionals.

Adfam

For those living close to a dependent drug/alcohol user, trying to find help can be frustrating. It often seems that support is geared towards the user, when families struggle through problems too. Adfam believes that families need and deserve support in their own right.

DrugFAM

DrugFAMs mission is to support everyone  affected by or bereaved from another person’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs, substances, or gambling including family, friends and colleagues. DrugFAM offers phone and email support to people affected by other people’s drug or alcohol misuse.

Families Anonymous

Families Anonymous is a world-wide fellowship of family members and friends affected by another’s abuse of mind-altering substances, or related behavioural problems. FA has groups, spread throughout the country, which meet regularly. Families Anonymous is based on the same principles as Alcoholics Anonymous. It runs support meetings for the family and friends of people with a drug problem.

Release is the national centre of expertise on drugs and drugs law. The organisation, founded in 1967, is an independent and registered charity. Through our services the team provides free non-judgmental, specialist advice and information to the public and professionals on issues related to drug use and to drug laws. Release also offers free, confidential advice on drugs law for people who use drugs, and their families.
