What is mental health?
Mental health pertains to our emotional state. It encompasses our well-being, which fluctuates—some days are better than others. While occasional dips in mood are normal and can often be managed with support from loved ones, there are instances where additional assistance becomes necessary. This is where our service steps in.
How can I seek assistance?
If you believe that you, your child, or the young person you are caring for could benefit from mental health support, you can take either of the following steps:
- Visit MySelfReferral-LLR.nhs.uk
For mental health concerns, visit the MySelfReferral-LLR.nhs.uk website to find information and initiate a self-referral process (except for neurodevelopmental disorders, eating disorders, or substance misuse, for which you should schedule a GP appointment for discussion).
For further details, please visit: https://www.myselfreferral-llr.nhs.uk
- Contact your GP
Your General Practitioner (GP) can refer you to our service if it aligns with your requirements. A referral offers us insight into your situation, aiding us in determining the most suitable form of assistance.
How can I access urgent help?
In case of an overdose or immediate risk of physical harm to yourself, your child, or the young person under your care, please proceed to Accident & Emergency (A&E) or dial 999.
For urgent assistance, reach out to the 24/7 Mental Health Central Access Point (CAP) at 0808 800 3302. Please note that the CAP does not provide emergency servic
