Protected Learning Time
The Practice is closed on a Wednesday afternoon each month between 13.00 – 18.30 for “Protected Learning Time” in house training. This usually happens on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, but sometimes occurs on the 2nd or 4th Wednesday of the month.
- When the practice is closed for a PLT event, patients are advised to contact the Willows Urgent Care Service – Tel 0116 2202578 who answer the practice calls and provide appointments for patients to be seen as necessary.
Thursday Afternoon Phone Cover
- Our practice telephones are covered by the Willows Urgent Care Service on a Thursday afternoon from 13.00 – 18.30. This allows reception Staff to undertake essential training.
- Patients can call the Willows Urgent Care Service on 0116 2202578.
Urgent Care Centres
When the practice is closed or at capacity and unable to see any further patients for safety reasons, patient can attend the following Urgent Care Centres:

When the surgery is closed at evenings, overnight and at weekends and Bank Holidays:
