General Practitioners (GPs)

Dr David Tull (M) – Locum GP

GPs oversee all aspects of patient care. They are here to deal with complex medical problems or where a patient has more than one health condition. They meet regularly with other members of the practice team to plan joint approaches to coordinate a patient’s care. All other members of the practice team work under the supervision of a GP.
They can help with:
• Diagnosing and treating a health condition
• Ordering tests and interpreting results
• Prescribing medication where necessary
• Referring you to hospital and other medical services for urgent and specialised treatment.

Nursing Team

Bhavna Maru – Lead Practice Nurse (F)

Nurses in general practice undertake a wide range of roles and are involved in almost every aspect of a patient’s care, assessing, screening and treating people of all ages. They can treat many health conditions and arrange any necessary tests. In addition to providing traditional aspects of nursing care such as wound care, immunisations and administration of medicines, they run health checks and clinics for those with long-term conditions such as asthma, heart disease and diabetes.
They can help with:

  • Vaccinations and injections
  • Supporting people with long-term conditions such as asthma and diabetes
  • Healthy living advice, e.g. stopping smoking and weight loss
  • Family planning and sexual health advice, including smear test

Kate Nijjar (F)- Health Care Assistant

Healthcare Assistants work under the guidance of a nurse or another healthcare professional. They help with routine health checks and provide patients with general health and wellbeing advice.
They can help with:

  • Health checks, such as blood pressure monitoring or taking blood samples
  • Vaccinations and injections
  • Healthy living advice, e.g. stopping smoking and weight loss

Clinical Pharmacists

Clinical pharmacists in general practice play a key role in supporting both patients and healthcare teams by ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medicines. They work alongside GPs, nurses, and other professionals to manage long-term conditions, conduct medication reviews, optimize treatment plans, and reduce the risk of adverse drug interactions. By providing expert advice on prescribing and helping patients understand and manage their medicines, clinical pharmacists improve health outcomes, enhance patient safety, and ease pressure on wider primary care services.

Practice Manager

Caroline Robinson (F)

Oversees the day-to-day running of the surgery, ensuring that the practice operates smoothly, efficiently, and in line with healthcare regulations. Manage staff, finances, and resources, while also coordinating administrative systems to support high-quality patient care. Practice managers often act as a bridge between clinical and non-clinical teams, handling recruitment, training, patient services, and compliance with policies. Their leadership helps create a well-organized, supportive environment that allows clinicians to focus on delivering care.

Administration Manager

Kajol Desai (F)

The administration manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the administrative team to ensure the smooth delivery of front-line patient services. They oversee tasks such as appointment scheduling, correspondence, and reception duties, making sure systems are efficient and responsive to patient needs. By managing workloads, training staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service, the administration manager plays a vital role in supporting both patients and clinical staff, helping the practice run effectively and professionally.

Reception Manager

Angela Bates (F)

The Reception Manager takes responsibility for the management of medical records and patient registrations. They ensure that all patient information is accurately recorded, securely stored, and kept up to date in line with data protection and clinical governance requirements. This role also supports the Administration Manager with supervising reception staff, coordinating training, and maintaining high standards of customer service to provide patients with a welcoming and efficient first point of contact.

The first point of contact for patients, Reception Staff play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the surgery. They manage appointment bookings, handle phone calls, direct patients to the most appropriate member of the healthcare team and greet patients on arrival, providing a friendly and efficient service. Receptionists also process repeat prescription requests, maintain accurate patient records and handle all correspondence from hospitals and specialists that comes into the practice.

Practice Attached Staff

Practice-attached staff in general practice are healthcare professionals who are linked to the practice but employed by external organizations, such as the NHS Trust or community services. They may include district nurses, health visitors, midwives, physiotherapists, or mental health practitioners. Their role is to provide specialist support and services that complement the work of the practice team, ensuring patients have access to a wider range of care within their community. By working closely with GPs and practice staff, practice-attached staff help deliver integrated, holistic care tailored to patients’ individual needs.

Health Visitors (various) – specialist public health nurses who focus on the health and wellbeing of children and families. Their role includes supporting parents during pregnancy and the early years of a child’s life, carrying out developmental checks, and providing advice on areas such as feeding, sleep, safety, and emotional wellbeing. Midwives (Various)- Work with the doctor to provide ante-natal and post-natal care. Telephone 0116 2584834

Physiotherapist Rachna Vaya (F) – Expert in musculoskeletal conditions. Able to assess, diagnose and treat a range of complex muscle and joint conditions, preventing the need for referrals to hospital. Able to arrange swift access to further treatment, investigations and specialists when needed.

Social Prescriber, Rubina Chand (F) – Helping people to improve their health and wellbeing by connecting them to activities and services in the community. Connecting patients who feel lonely, overwhelmed or in need of help to a range of local support, from community and activity groups to work, debt or housing advice.
